TAP’s Traffic Safety Mobile Park

Continuing the Education program of TAP, the Traffic Safety Mobile Park was launched in July 1, 2011 succeeding the Traffic Safety Academy with the objective of strengthening the student’s awareness on traffic safety rules through hands on experience. Basic Traffic Safety Rules such as use of safety belt, pedestrian lanes, traffic lights etc., are taught, while role playing as driver and pedestrian.

Initially, mobilization of the Mobile Park was conducted in all 18 Public Elementary Schools in the City of Santa Rosa. In 2012, the Mobile Park was placed at Robinson Mall in Santa Rosa to expand its beneficiaries. Since then, more than 100,000 students and walk-in children have been taught in the Basic Traffic Safety Rules.

Project partners include the City Government of Santa Rosa, Department of Education, City Traffic Management Enforcement and Office (CTMEO), Boy Scouts of the Philippines, Rotary Club of Santa Rosa UP Diliman -National Center for Transportation Studies and Robinson Mall Santa Rosa.

In 2013, continuing its operation, the park was turned over to the City Government of Santa Rosa with the support of Robinson Mall Santa Rosa.
